It was mid august 2020 when SPFG came upon a miserable, starved, dirty, disheveled dog in the square of a small village. She was badly bitten by other dogs and her wound was infested and oozing, so our team member rushed her to our vet, where she received first aid and all necessary exams. She is an approximately 2 year old German shepherd mix and we named her "SISSY". From our vet, we brought her straight to our sanctuary to heal, body and soul, and she has been with us ever since. She is now a 26 kg, healthy, full of life and joy dog.
"Sissy" was doubly lucky; not only was she saved by SPFG but also almost immediately adopted. One of our families, who have already adopted our "Leon" last year, fell in love with her on first sight and has been following her progress with great love and patience.
