"KATERINA", a KOKKONI/GREEK HOUND MIX who is 1.5 years old and weighs approx 9kg. or 20 lbs.
One of our teammates literally fished her out of the sea when she was walking on a rocky shore. Sweet "KATERINA" could not find hold on the rocks and she was already exhausted by the time our teammate spotted her. She immediately pulled the frozen dog out of the water and wrapped her up her in her own coat. She took her to the vet for all the appropriate procedures and then introduced her to our sanctuary, where she fit right in.
"KATERINA" is a social butterfly both with animals and people. She is very human centered, kissy and cuddly, extroverted and genial; always vying for attention and begging for pets from the volunteers. She is quite playful, active and agile. And after she saw her playmates climbing trees she followed suit.
Since rescuing her we have spayed, fully vaccinated, vetted, and microchipped her. She has also been leash trained and house broken.
