Anastasia, on her way home one afternoon noticed this stray dog wandering outside a busy industrial area and without a second thought she pulled to the side of the road and exited her vehicle. Upon coming closer she realized that the dog was weak and in need of medical care. As she was getting ready to lure the dog closer to her car she noticed two men coming towards her. They asked Anastasia what she was trying to do with the dog and when they were told they became hostile. You see, a German shepherd was a prized possession for their business (even as a stray) because the bad guys are afraid of them.
But - as you know - no one and nothing can intimidate Anastasia when it comes to rescuing a dog and a few minutes later as she was driving away, with the dog next to her, she named her "GLORIA" and the rest is history.
At the vet visit "GLORIA" was found to barely weigh 19 kg, (now at a perfect weight 30 kg), and had a serious iron deficiency.
After a long and very costly treatment that took a lot of meds, special prescription food and tons of TLC "GLORIA" in now a SPFG picture of heath, fully vetted and vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
"GLORIA " is extremely social with people and adores interacting with them.. She is very human centered and amiable. Always vying for attention.
With our other dogs, she is playful, active and agile.
We have also leash trained and house broken her.
"GLORIA" will be the perfect addition to any kind of family environment!
